Lissy Mineo-Gonzalez is a Dominican born alternative process photographer. She’s inspired by the juxtaposition between urbanization and the natural world. Her relationship to this friction stems from the disparate environments occupied by herself, her family and her ancestors. Lissy’s themes explore erasure, relationships between humans and non-human animals and plants, and impermanence.
Lissy has exhibited her work at AlterWork Studios and Gallery Petite. Her work is featured in En Foco’s online Apartment Gallery Series, Under Our Feet As Above Our Heads. She has recently completed a 2021-2022 Library Artist in Residence at the Bard Graduate Center.
